Commenting on the "official" release of the Stevens inquiry report, Kevin McQuillan, IRSP spokesperson, said "Today's exercise in semantics does nothing to disguise the fact that this whole 'inquiry' was a farce from start to finish."
"Despite ruffling a few loyalist feathers, Stevens' expensive escapade never stood a chance of getting anywhere close to the heart of the 'security leaks'. Had it done so, the inescapable conclusion would have been that this statelet, its 'security' forces and loyalist murder gangs are one and the same and are irreformable and should therefore be demolished, not reconstructed." |
