As you will have gathered things are beginning to move forward for the Party, and I believe that it is by the development of a long term strategy and patience that the growing support for the IRSM will continue and bear fruit in the long term.
The so-called peace process will flounder, strangled by its own preconditions and British inspired agenda. This agenda has only one aim the continuance of partition and British influence in Ireland. As republican socialists we should have no truck with Britain's imperialist plans or its projected time scale. We are comfortable and confident within our political analysis that our task is to build and propagate the revolutionary socialist alternative. Those political parties within the nationalist consensus who are attempting to steer the republican community and a 32 county socialist republic into a political cul-de-sac, and they think the point of no return, are sadly mistaken, the ideals and working class politics of Connolly and Costello are as relevant today as they have been in the past. As a Party we are confident of our republican socialist tradition and are looking forward to showing that the republican socialist alternative is both revolutionary and vibrant and will take its rightful place in the coming years. |
