The Irish Republican Socialist Party have described the news that American
President Bill Clinton is to visit Omagh as hypocritical.
West Belfast spokesperson Fra Halligan said, "In the light of his responsibility for two no warning bombs in Sudan and Afganistan, the number of innocent victims we can well imagine, it is hypocritical to say the least for Clinton to visit Omagh." In conclusion the IRSP representative said, "We in Ireland are only too aware of the politics of 'Tit for Tat'. We are calling for republicans and socialists to protest against the Clinton visit." |
